About Toaks
Toaks Outdoor is a company primarily engaged in the design and manufacturing of outdoor titanium gear. We began designing and producing titanium tableware in 1999, and our early designs became industry benchmarks. These products are still being imitated by many companies even today.
In 2011, we founded the Toaks brand in the United States, designing, producing, and selling titanium outdoor gear. Lightweight, compact design and environmental consciousness have always been at the core of Toaks's product philosophy.
Our strengths lie in research and development, unique production techniques, and a strict commitment to environmental protection. Nearly all Toaks products are independently researched, designed, and developed by us. Our specialized process allows us to stretch ultra-thin titanium, achieving a thickness as thin as 0.3mm, making our products exceptionally lightweight while fully utilizing titanium’s high strength.
Titanium surface treatment is typically challenging, especially for ultra-thin products. We do not have the capability to handle waste acid containing highly toxic hydrofluoric acid, nor do we have the necessary environmental certifications to use acids, so we do not employ acid pickling in our process.
Instead, our products rely on the high-quality surfaces achieved through our advanced ultra-thin stretching process, followed by sandblasting treatment. Sandblasting removes minor stretching marks from the product surface without leaving any other substances. Additionally, our skilled polishing artisans will manually refine the surface.
During the production process, a small amount of wastewater is generated. We have our own wastewater treatment system, which processes and recycles the water. The solid residues separated from the wastewater mainly consist of titanium shavings, quartz sand, and oil, all of which are treated to become non-hazardous solid waste.
We basically don't use plastic bags for product packaging, except when some products are required by Amazon to be covered with plastic bags. We primarily use recycled paper for packaging—even though it is more expensive than virgin paper. Some of our products just come with portable carrying cases and small recycled paper tags to further reduce environmental impact.
Toaks will continue to develop and produce more outdoor-friendly products, bringing innovative designs to adventurers everywhere.
